About the Role

We are looking for a proactive and organised Dispatch Officer to join our Smithfield team. This role is responsible for coordinating daily dispatch activities, ensuring customer orders are prepared accurately and dispatched on time, while supporting the smooth operation of the warehouse and transport functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily dispatch activities and ensure orders are processed accurately and on time.

• Prepare and check dispatch documentation, delivery dockets and related paperwork.

• Schedule and coordinate delivery runs based on customer requirements.

• Communicate with drivers, warehouse staff, customers and internal teams regarding deliveries.

• Ensure products are correctly picked, packed, labelled and ready for dispatch.

• Monitor delivery schedules and follow up on delays or issues.

• Assist with load planning and ensure vehicles are loaded safely and efficiently.

• Enter and maintain accurate dispatch and delivery information in relevant systems.

• Respond to customer and internal queries regarding order and delivery status.

• Ensure dispatch activities comply with company safety, quality and operational procedures.

• Assist with general administration and warehouse coordination as required.

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

• Experienced in dispatch, logistics, transport administration or a similar role.

• Highly organised with strong attention to detail.

• Confident coordinating multiple deliveries and priorities.

• Comfortable working with drivers, warehouse teams and customers.

• MYOB experience is desirable but not essential.

• A clear and professional communicator.

• Reliable, proactive and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
