Machinery Pre-Delivery Technician / Yard Hand

Digger King is looking for a reliable and mechanically minded person to join our Sydney display yard in Milperra.

This is a varied, hands-on position combining machinery pre-delivery work with general yard duties. You do not need to be a qualified mechanic, but you must be comfortable working around machinery, using tools and completing practical tasks without needing constant supervision.

Key responsibilities

 * Completing pre-delivery inspections on new excavators, loaders and other machinery

* Checking fluid levels, controls, lights, safety equipment and general machine operation

* Fitting buckets, attachments and other accessories

* Identifying and reporting faults or items requiring attention

* Cleaning and presenting machines ready for customer collection or delivery

* Receiving, moving and organising machinery within the yard

* Loading and unloading trucks when required

* Maintaining accurate pre-delivery checklists

* Keeping the display area, workshop and yard clean, safe and organised

* Assisting customers with machinery collections and basic handovers

* Performing general yard and maintenance duties as required

About you

We are looking for someone who:

 * Is mechanically minded and confident using hand and power tools

* Has experience with earthmoving equipment, agricultural machinery, forklifts, vehicles or similar equipment

* Takes pride in completing work properly and presenting machinery professionally

* Can work independently and manage daily tasks

* Is reliable, punctual and physically capable of performing a hands-on role

* Has good attention to detail and can follow inspection procedures

* Communicates well with customers, transport drivers and other team members

* Holds a current Australian driver’s licence

A forklift licence, mechanical qualification or previous experience with machinery pre-deliveries would be highly regarded, but is not essential for the right person.
