Turosi Food Solutions Group is seeking an experienced Handyman to join our farming operations team in Bannockburn, just 20 minutes from Geelong. This is a unique opportunity to work in a live poultry production environment rather than a traditional FMCG or manufacturing setting, with a varied role supporting the maintenance of farm facilities, equipment and infrastructure.

Reporting to the Victorian Breeder Operations Manager, you'll be responsible for repairs, preventative maintenance and general upkeep across the farm. Your work will support safe and efficient operations while maintaining high standards of production, animal welfare, biosecurity and site safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out general repairs and maintenance across sheds, amenities, processing areas and farm infrastructure.

• Conduct inspections and maintenance of buildings, feeders, drinkers, ventilation systems, doors, locks, fixtures, tools, machinery and equipment.

• Complete basic carpentry, plumbing, mechanical and building maintenance work within your competency.

• Assist with fencing, gates, drainage systems, roads, external farm upkeep, shed preparation and equipment setup for new flocks.

• Respond to breakdowns and urgent maintenance issues to minimise operational disruption.

• Maintain maintenance records and support compliance requirements.

• Work safely in accordance with WHS, biosecurity and animal welfare requirements, liaising with contractors and service providers when specialised repairs are required.

About You

• Previous experience in a handyman, maintenance, facilities or trade-related role.

• Strong practical skills across general maintenance, carpentry, mechanical repairs and basic plumbing.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and take a proactive, hands-on approach.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with multiple teams.

• A commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement.

• Experience in agriculture, farming, food production or industrial environments will be highly regarded.
