The Tasks

CDS is seeking at least 15 additional casual staff to deliver Christmas displays throughout Melbourne and regional Victoria, starting in late October or earlier (see below). The same staff would be involved in dismantling the displays in late December through to mid January.

Selected staff will also be involved in pre-installation product preparation from early September to late October.

Installation work occurs during the day or nights with shifts of up to 10 hours common. Staff will either meet at the warehouse in North Williamstown to travel to jobs or will make their own way to each site. Reasonable travel time to site will be paid on the standard hourly rate. Staff will be paid above Award rates and a higher rate will apply to overtime.

Experienced staff will also be considered for team leader or project management roles within the Company.

Skills and Experience

Ideally staff would have experience in installing events, displays or visual merchandise. Past experience installing commercial Christmas decorations would be an advantage, though training will be provided and casual staff would also be working with experienced crew.
