Accountant

We are seeking an experienced Accountant with a background in public practice to join our growing team. This role is suited to someone who has developed strong technical skills within an accounting firm environment.

The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality accounting, tax, and advisory services while building strong relationships with clients.

• Preparation of individual, company, trust, and partnership tax returns

• Preparation of financial statements for a broad range of entities

• Preparation and review of BAS, IAS, and GST obligations

• Managing client portfolios and maintaining ongoing client relationships

• Providing general tax advice and business structuring support

• Liaising with the ATO and other regulatory bodies where required

• Assisting clients with accounting software including Xero, MYOB, or similar platforms

• Identifying opportunities to improve client outcomes and business performance

• Supporting junior team members and contributing to the ongoing development of the practice

• Minimum 2+ years' experience in public practice accounting (essential)

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce, or a related discipline

• Strong understanding of Australian taxation legislation and compliance requirements

• Experience preparing financial statements and tax returns across multiple entity structures

• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills

• Excellent communication and client relationship management skills

• Experience with Xero, MYOB, and other cloud-based accounting platforms

• Registered Tax Agent status or the ability to obtain registration
