Freight Officer/Forklift Operator

As a Forklift Operator, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the efficient handling and receipt of freight, with responsibilities that include loading, unloading, and securing general freight of all sizes.
Ideally you will have prior experience handling and securing freight however, training can be provide to ensure you are successful in the role. Your skills, along with a positive attitude and willingness to learn if required, will directly contribute to the smooth operation of our business, making a real impact on our overall success. Key Responsibilities:

• Operating various sized counterbalance forklifts
• Processing various types of general freight from beginning to end
• Secure and restrain loads when required following the load restraint guide
• Ensuring all scanning is accurate and complete for freight in the received, loaded, staged and unloaded functions
• Preparation of outgoing freight ensuring that goods are secured and packed correctly for dispatch

Skills and Experience:

• Current Forklift Licence (LF) 
• Experience handling and managing freight (general ugly/oversize freight), or a willingness to learn.
• Ability to take direction from management and supervisors
• Preferred scanning experience
