About the role

You will consult with injured workers by video or phone, assess their capacity for work, and issue and review workers' compensation certificates. Consultations are structured, scheduled in advance, and supported end to end by our admin team.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct telehealth consultations with injured workers

• Assess functional capacity and formulate return-to-work recommendations

• Issue and review certificates of capacity in line with the relevant state scheme

• Liaise with employers, rehabilitation providers and insurers where clinically appropriate

• Participate in multidisciplinary case conferences where indicated

About you

• Current general or specialist registration with AHPRA, with no restrictions relevant to this role

• FRACGP, FACRRM or equivalent (or substantial general practice experience)

• Interest or experience in occupational medicine, injury management or workers' compensation

• Confident, clear communicator, assessing capacity and explaining it to workers, employers and insurers

• Comfortable working independently in a digital environment
