About the role
HIA is Australia's peak residential building industry association, supporting and advocating for a strong and sustainable housing sector.
We're looking for an organised and energetic Event Administrator to join our Events team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working behind the scenes to coordinate events, manage registrations and support the delivery of industry-recognised awards and networking programs.

About the roleReporting to the Events Manager, you'll provide administrative and operational support across HIA's events and awards programs.
Key responsibilities include:
Coordinating event registrations and attendee communications
Maintaining accurate records within EventsAir and CRM systems
Processing invoices, monitoring debtors and assisting with event reporting
Supporting event planning, logistics and onsite delivery
Assisting with awards program administration and stakeholder communications
Liaising with internal teams to support event promotion and member engagement
Identifying opportunities to improve processes and the customer experience
You are organised, detail-oriented and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. You can manage multiple tasks, communicate professionally and work collaboratively as part of a team.
You'll ideally bring:
Previous experience in administration, events, customer service or a similar role
Strong organisational and time management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Confidence working with databases, CRM systems and Microsoft Office
A proactive approach and willingness to learn
Experience with EventsAir, OpenWater or similar event platforms will be highly regarded
