Holy Cross Services is currently seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Cleaning Supervisor & Leading Hand to join our Cleaning Services team.

1 x Supervisor - South Brisbane (Client Mater Hospital), permanent full-time, 38 hours per week.

• Monday to Friday – 15:00 – 22:36

  • Level 3 - $29.45 (base hourly rate)

• 1 x Leading Hand - Springfield (Client Mater Hospital), permanent full-time, 38 hours per week.

• Monday to Friday - 15:00 - 22:36

  • Level 2 - $27.97 (base hourly rate)

About the Roles

Supervisor - Cleaning Services

The successful candidate will be responsible for effectively managing all the resources associated with the delivery of cleaning services in both clinical and non-clinical areas in a healthcare setting.

• Supervise daily cleaning operations across wards, theatres and public areas.

• Support and motivate a team of cleaners to achieve high standards.

• Allocate duties, prepare duty sheets and manage staff coverage.

• Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with hospital standards, infection prevention and control protocols and WHS requirements.

• Train new and existing staff in cleaning procedures, use of equipment and chemicals, and safe work practices.

• Respond promptly to urgent cleaning requests and incidents (e.g. spills, infection control cleans).

• Liaise with relevant stakeholders to coordinate services and resolve issues.

Leading Hand - Cleaning Services

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing hands-on leadership and guidance to Cleaning Services employees

• Effectively leading a small number of staff in relation to the assigned area of responsibility and being an escalation point for any concerns or issues.

• Provide commercial cleaning as prescribed by the work schedule assigned to the corresponding area.

• Complete routine and reactive cleaning as required.

• Support Supervisors - Cleaning Services in implementing, reviewing and auditing feedback from the client and Cleaners to improve productivity.

• Maintain hygiene standards to ensure effective infection control.

• Adhere to all policies and procedures, operating instructions for all equipment and chemicals.

About You

You will bring:

• Previous experience in healthcare, aged care or similar high-risk environment (highly regarded)

• Reliability, punctuality and a professional approach.

• High attention to detail and commitment to quality and patient safety.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

• Comfort using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and the ability to learn other systems as required.

Essential Requirements

• Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance, or willingness to obtain one (mandatory)

• Valid Queensland Working with Children’s Blue Card (mandatory).
