About the role
Installation & Commissioning: Install, configure, and commission medical imaging equipment, primarily general X-ray, OPG, DEXA and Mammography systems, at hospitals, radiology clinics, and healthcare facilities, ensuring all systems meet manufacturer and clinical specifications.
Maintenance & Repairs: Perform preventive maintenance, fault diagnosis, and corrective repairs to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
Diagnostics & Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve electronic, electrical, mechanical, and software faults using diagnostic tools, service manuals, and technical documentation.
Technical Support: Provide on-site and remote technical support to healthcare professionals, ensuring the safe and effective operation of medical imaging equipment.
Calibration & Testing: Perform equipment calibration, quality assurance testing, and performance verification in accordance with manufacturer specifications and regulatory requirements.
Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate service reports, maintenance records, and technical documentation while ensuring compliance with safety standards, manufacturer requirements, and relevant regulatory guidelines.
Customer Training: Deliver operator training to customers and end users on equipment operation, routine care, and best practices.
Field Service: Travel to customer sites to install, service, and repair equipment while delivering a high standard of customer service and technical support.
Qualification in Biomedical Engineering or a related discipline.
At least two years of experience servicing medical equipment.
Experience with general X-ray, OPG, DEXA, or other diagnostic imaging equipment is an advantage.
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Willingness to continuously travel for on-site service work.
Must have the legal right to work in Australia.
Valid driver's license.
