About the role
We are seeking a highly organised and reliable Client Liaison Officer to join our administration team. This is a part-time role working Monday to Friday, 9.30 am – 3 pm (50 hours per fortnight).
Bushland Health Group Limited is a long standing, community based, not for profit provider of residential aged care in the Manning Valley, on the mid north coast of NSW. We are the largest provider in the area and deliver best practice aged care to 269 residents at 3 facilities.
As a Client Liaison Officer, you will be the first point of contact for prospective residents and their families, supporting the enquiry, respite and permanent residential aged care admission process. You will work closely with the Executive Care Manager, Clinical Supervisor, Clinical team, Administration and Management to ensure enquiries and admissions are coordinated efficiently and that residents receive a smooth and welcoming transition into care. Your responsibilities will include:
Manage and follow up respite and permanent residential aged care enquiries and referrals
Coordinate the admission process from initial enquiry through to admission
Communicate with prospective residents, families, representatives, hospitals, My Aged Care and other referral sources
Organise and conduct facility tours and appointments
Provide clear information regarding aged care services, admission requirements, fees and charges
Coordinate required admission documentation, agreements and supporting information
Support the coordination of respite admissions, including admission and discharge arrangements
Coordinate permanent residential admissions and ensure all required documentation and assessments are completed
Maintain accurate enquiry, referral, waiting list and admission records
Ensure relevant information is communicated to clinical, administration, management and other teams prior to admission
Liaise with clinical and management teams to ensure admission requirements are met
Preparing agendas, taking and distributing minutes for up to two meetings per month
Maintain flexibility to work extended hours when required to support operational needs
Contribute to a positive consumer experience and continuous improvement initiatives
Maintain confidentiality and ensure all activities comply with relevant aged care legislation, standards and Bushland Health Group policies
Performing other ad hoc duties as directed by the Office Manager or Clinical Supervisor
We are looking for someone who is professional, approachable, organised and genuinely passionate about supporting older people and their families.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Previous experience in customer service, administration, client liaison or a similar role
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organisational and time management skills
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple enquiries and admissions
The ability to work confidently with confidential and sensitive information
Strong computer and Microsoft Office skills
The ability to work collaboratively with clinical, administration and management teams
A commitment to person-centred care, dignity, choice and the rights of older people
Previous knowledge of My Aged Care, residential aged care admissions and aged care fees will be highly regarded, but is not essential for the right candidate
Salary and conditions are in accordance with the Bushland Health Group Limited, NSWNA and HSU NSW Enterprise Agreement 2023.
