• Permanent - Part Time, 40 hours per week position. Monday - Thursday + 4 hours every second Friday.

Your Contribution

• Work hands on in the kitchen to ensure product quality and kitchen presentation
• Develop and implement processes to ensure consistent food quality and presentation
• Effective management and training of kitchen staff to ensure quality standards and food safety
• Work collaboratively with your team of chefs, cooks and catering assistants to deliver exceptional food services to our valued residents
• Stock control and ordering
• Budgeting and food costing
• Staff rostering and timesheets
• Contribute to a high engagement culture of positive feedback and coaching

The Essentials

• Certificate IV, Associate Diploma or Diploma in commercial cookery or equivalent demonstrated competency.
• Experience in implementing a varied and nutritional menu including special dietary needs within the commercial setting.
• Knowledge of evidence based best practice, relevant catering aged care and activity programs
• Completion of a HACCP course.
• Written and oral communication skills.
• Previous experience as a Hospitality Coordinator (desirable).
• Current Criminal History Check (within the last three years) suitable for aged care (or willing to obtain) are essential.
