Customer Service Consultant

About the role

This is more than a customer service position, it's an opportunity to be part of a passionate, founder-led company at our head office during an exciting time of growth and expansion. As a Customer Service Consultant at Jadore Hair Supplies, you will combine your hairdressing expertise with outstanding customer service to deliver real results for our online and walk-in clients. You will manage domestic and international online enquiries via email, phone, and our website, while maintaining an excellent customer experience throughout. You will also be responsible for walk-in clients requiring a hair consultation and colour match service.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome and attend to walk-in clients, providing professional hair consultations

• Assess each client's hair type, condition, and goals to recommend suitable services and products

• Manage Jadore and Hadrill Hair customer enquiries by phone, email, and website, including colour and product recommendations

• Process and manage customer returns in line with company policy

• Respond to enquiries from our Jadore and Hadrill trade and retail customers

• Assist with stock replenishment and general warehouse support as needed

• Monitor and respond to customer reviews, and manage new trade account sign-ups

• Work closely with the Jadore Operations Manager, providing support with a range of operational and administrative tasks to help ensure the smooth and efficient running of the business

• Provide administrative support across Jadore Education, including assisting the Emilly Hadrill Salon Operations Manager with organising catering, and managing a range of general administrative tasks

About you

• Minimum 1–2 years' professional customer service role, and desired but not required hair dressing experience (salon or similar environment)

• Strong customer service and communication skills, written and verbal

• Ability to consult with clients and tailor recommendations to individual needs

• Friendly, approachable, and able to work well under pressure during busy periods

• Reliable, punctual, and well-presented

• Confident using email and basic software systems

• Strong administrative skills

• Experience with colour consultations and colour matching (desirable)

• Previous experience in a retail or e-commerce customer service environment (desirable)

• Familiarity with hair extensions specifically (desirable)
