About the role

As an Assistant Store Manager, this full-time opportunity will see you play an integral role in the success of this 24/7 retail store in Langwarrin area . This role is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the site, ensuring exceptional customer service, effective team leadership, and efficient store operations with full compliance to company standards and procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the fuel station and convenience store to ensure efficient and seamless service delivery.

• Provide excellent customer service and build positive relationships with customers.

• Lead, train, and motivate team members to deliver exceptional customer service.

• Manage inventory levels, coordinate stock replenishment, and maintain accurate records.

• Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

• Drive sales performance by implementing effective promotional and operational strategies.

• Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the overall success of the store.

• Address customer enquiries and resolve issues promptly to maintain high satisfaction levels.

About you

• A minimum of 3 years of retail management or supervisory role experience within petrol and convenience stores.

• Mandatory experience in petrol and convenience store operations.

• Strong customer service orientation and the ability to lead and motivate a team.

• Excellent communication, problem-solving and decision-making skills.

• Proficient in cash handling, inventory management and retail operations.

• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively.

• Good understanding of workplace health and safety standards.

• Reliable, proactive, and committed to delivering high-quality service.

• Flexibility to work a range of shifts if needed, including weekends and public holidays.

• Must be an Australian Citizen, a permanent resident or have full working rights.
