Enrolled Nurse - Paediatrics

Northeast Health Wangaratta (NHW) is the major health provider in the Central Hume region with an extensive range of acute, sub-acute, aged care and community services.

Northeast Health Wangaratta is recruiting for an Enrolled Nurse with demonstrated 1 year minimum experience in paediatric nursing to complement and enhance our recently established stand-alone Paediatric Unit.

The Paediatric Nurse will provide safe, compassionate, quality, person centred care and work in collaboration with patients/families/carers and a multidisciplinary team to achieve identified goals and outcomes.

Northeast Health Wangaratta has recently undergone major redevelopment which has included a brand new state of the art 8 – 10 bed Paediatric Unit. It is the main public referral centre for the Alpine and Hume region. The Paediatric Unit provides care for infants through to adolescent children, aged 0-18. Our services include medical, surgical and mental health care and incorporate a surgical pre-admission clinic and paediatric review clinics into the model of care. We also work collaboratively with Hospital In the Home and Paediatric Integrated Cancer Services. 

We have a strong focus on professional development with several education programs arranged on site throughout the year and training opportunities in collaboration with the Royal Children’s Hospital Melbourne.
