Product Identification Specialist

In this role, you will be responsible for the Category, Supplier and Product matching activities required to support Blackwoods response to customer RFXs (Tender, Quote, Information, Proposal etc.). You will play a key role to play in defining the cost base of quotes and tender response, and consequently the profitability and win/loss rate of relevant submissions. 

About the role:

• Support the Sales and wider Blackwoods Team by matching customer product requirements accurately and within requested timeframes
• Build an understanding of Blackwoods sales and product strategies to deliver tailored customer solutions for Blackwoods customers
• Support the Projects/Implementation team by participating in customer consolidation opportunities to deliver meaningful growth for both Blackwoods and our customer partners
• Support the development of Blackwoods product matching tools, processes and systems and participate in testing and feedback activities
• Actively support profit improvement and quote/ tender success by actively seeking cost price reduction, or other improved commercial term

About you:

• Previous experience in a similar Technical Sourcing or Product based role
• General knowledge of Industrial and Safety product brands available in Australia
• Ability to deliver strong commercial outcomes
• High level commercial acumen and strong analytical skills
• Ability to perform in a team environment
• Competency in MS Office (including excel, MS Teams and SharePoint)

This is a permanent, full-time opportunity and will be based the Blackwoods Office in Canning Vale.
