Since 1999, Far Out Fitting has delivered premium mechanical support across Mining, Earthmoving, Civil, Agricultural and Forestry sectors throughout NT, QLD and WA. IMMEDIATE Start in the Darwin Workshop for several fitters.

FIFO opportunities include 2 on / 2 off roster from Darwin.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

You’ll work across a wide range of heavy equipment, both in our Yarrawonga (Darwin) workshop and onsite through FIFO or remote field service work. No two days are the same.

Your work may include:

• Diagnostics, breakdown response and repairs

• Scheduled and preventative maintenance

• Component change‑outs and rebuilds

• Hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical and AC systems

• Heavy earthmoving equipment, Crushers, screens

• Supporting clients across mining, civil, agriculture and industrial operations

Our field service trucks are fully equipped “workshops on wheels”, giving you everything you need to deliver high‑quality work safely and efficiently.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We want fitters who are:

• Trade‑qualified (Heavy Diesel or equivalent) with at least 3 years tradesman experience

• Experienced with heavy earthmoving, mining or industrial equipment

• Strong with diagnostics and problem‑solving

• Safety‑focused with a zero‑harm mindset

• Reliable, professional and able to work independently

• Equipped with own tools

• Keen to travel for field service or FIFO work when required

Additional tickets such as HR licence, Working at Heights, Confined Space, High Risk Work, Air‑Con Handling and First Aid are highly regarded.
