Job description:At Quintas Energy Australia, we're looking for an experienced renewable energy professional to step into a newly created leadership role as Head of Technical Asset Management.This is a role for someone who thrives on connecting people, projects and performance. Sitting at the centre of our Asset Management division, you will work across Technical Asset Management, the Control Room, Trading, Data Analytics, Commercial Asset Management and Special Projects to ensure our renewable energy assets perform safely, efficiently and profitably.You won't simply manage a team. You'll be the technical link that brings together multiple business functions, ensuring operational decisions, technical priorities and commercial outcomes remain aligned across the portfolio.About the role:As Head of Technical Asset Management, you will provide leadership across a growing portfolio of solar, wind and battery energy storage assets throughout Australia and New Zealand.Working alongside the Head of Asset Management and senior leadership team, you will oversee technical strategy, asset performance, operational governance and continuous improvement initiatives while supporting the delivery of exceptional client outcomes.This role combines technical leadership, operational oversight, stakeholder management and business improvement, making it ideal for someone who enjoys both strategic thinking and hands-on problem solving.Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Leadership & Asset PerformanceLead the technical asset management function across a diverse renewable energy portfolio.Drive asset availability, performance, reliability and operational excellence.Oversee major technical risks, defects, underperformance events and remediation activities.Provide technical oversight of O&M contractors and service providers.Guide reliability improvement and plant optimisation initiatives.Cross Functional LeadershipAct as the central point of coordination between Asset Management, Control Room, Trading, Data Analytics, Commercial Asset Management and Special Projects.Ensure technical decisions consider operational, contractual and commercial impacts.Facilitate collaboration between teams to identify and resolve portfolio-wide issues.Establish clear governance, escalation pathways and reporting structures.Portfolio OptimisationLead performance reviews and technical analysis to identify opportunities for improvement.Work closely with Trading and Control Room teams to maximise value from generation and storage assets.Support the development of operational strategies for BESS, solar and wind assets.Champion continuous improvement initiatives that enhance client outcomes and operational efficiency.Risk, Compliance & GovernanceMaintain oversight of technical compliance obligations and operational risks.Ensure robust reporting and performance management frameworks are in place.Support contractual compliance and stakeholder reporting requirements.Drive best practice asset management standards across the organisation.Leadership & Stakeholder EngagementMentor and develop Technical Asset Managers and wider operational teams.Build strong relationships with clients, contractors, regulators and service providers.Act as a key technical representative for Quintas Energy within the renewable energy sector.About YouYou'll bring extensive experience within renewable energy asset management and a strong understanding of how technical, operational and commercial drivers interact within utility-scale energy projects.You'll likely have:10+ years' experience within renewable energy, power generation or utility infrastructure.Significant experience managing solar, wind and/or battery storage assets.Strong leadership capability with experience leading multidisciplinary teams.A background in engineering, asset management, operations or a related discipline.Experience working with O&M providers, contractors and external stakeholders.Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence across multiple business functions.A commercial mindset and the ability to balance risk, performance and value creation.Why Join Quintas Energy?Be part of one of Australia's fastest-growing renewable energy businesses.Influence the performance of a significant renewable energy portfolio.Work alongside highly experienced industry professionals.Play a key leadership role in shaping the future of Technical Asset Management.Enjoy a collaborative and innovative culture where your ideas make a difference.The OpportunityThis is a unique opportunity for a senior renewable energy professional who wants to move beyond managing assets and instead lead how people, systems and teams come together to maximise performance across an entire portfolio.You will be the technical heartbeat of the Asset Management function, ensuring every part of the business is working in harmony to deliver outstanding outcomes for our clients and their assets.Benefits:Work from homeExperience:Asset management: 5 years (Preferred)Licence/Certification:Engineering degree or equivalent (Preferred)Work Location: In person
