Bay Family Dental is looking for a friendly and reliable Dental Assistant/Dental Receptionist to join our supportive team on a casual basis.

This is a varied role combining dental assisting with reception responsibilities. It would suit someone who enjoys working with patients, contributes positively to a team and is comfortable helping across different areas of the practice.

About you

We are looking for someone who:

• Is warm, professional and confident when communicating with patients

• Is organised and able to manage competing priorities

• Has excellent attention to detail

• Is dependable and works well within a team

• Takes pride in providing a high standard of patient care

• Is comfortable working across both reception and dental assisting

• Has good computer and administrative skills

Previous dental experience is preferred, and experience using Dental4Windows will be highly regarded.

The role

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing chairside assistance during a range of dental procedures

• Preparing treatment rooms and maintaining appropriate stock levels

• Cleaning, sterilising and maintaining dental instruments

• Following infection-control procedures and practice protocols

• Welcoming patients and assisting with their enquiries

• Answering telephone calls and managing emails

• Scheduling and confirming patient appointments

• Processing payments, accounts and health fund claims

• Maintaining accurate patient records

• Coordinating treatment appointments and following up patients

• Completing general reception and administrative duties

• Using Dental4Windows for daily practice-management tasks

• Supporting the dentists and wider practice team as required
