You don't need to be an experienced Bookkeeper. We're looking for someone who is motivated to learn, enjoys working with numbers, has excellent attention to detail and is excited by the opportunity to build a long-term career in finance.

About the Role

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will support the Finance, Administration and Customer Service functions of the business.

Initially, your responsibilities will focus on administration, customer service support and finance administration. As your knowledge and confidence grow, you'll have the opportunity to take on more bookkeeping responsibilities and develop your finance skills.

This role will initially be offered on a flexible part-time basis of 20-25 hours per week, with the opportunity to grow as skills and responsibilities develop.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll work across customer service, administration and finance, gaining exposure to a wide range of business activities while developing your finance skills.

Initially, your role will include:

• Customer service and administration support

• Booking and agent administration

• Invoicing and payment processing

• Payroll and finance administration support

• Daily reconciliations and record keeping

As your skills and experience grow, you'll have the opportunity to develop into areas such as:

• Payroll processing

• Bank and balance sheet reconciliations

• Intercompany accounting

• Month-end procedures

• Multi-entity bookkeeping

About You

You are a highly organised and detail-oriented individual who takes pride in producing accurate work and delivering excellent service. You enjoy working with a variety of tasks, can effectively manage competing priorities and are confident learning new systems. Most importantly, you have a positive attitude, a willingness to learn and are interested in building a long-term career in finance.

You will bring:

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Excellent organisational and time management skills

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Good computer skills and confidence learning new systems

• Professional handling of confidential information

• A proactive and team-focused approach

Experience in administration, customer service, accounts administration, bookkeeping, MYOB, Xero, ResPax or the tourism industry will be highly regarded, but is not essential.
