Senior Accountant

About the role

Reporting to the Site Operations Manager, this role is responsible for financial accounting, reporting, compliance, manufacturing cost analysis, and supporting working capital management across the business. Working closely with Group Finance and operational teams, you will contribute to the delivery of accurate financial information, support decision-making, and help maintain strong financial controls. You will also provide day-to-day guidance and support to the AP/AR Officer while collaborating closely with Operations, Procurement, Supply Chain and Commercial teams.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and support month-end, quarter-end and year-end close processes
• Maintain the integrity and accuracy of the general ledger
• Prepare journals, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations
• Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports and management accounts
• Maintain fixed asset registers and intercompany accounting records
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies and internal controls
• Maintain product costing and inventory accounting processes
• Monitor inventory valuations and stock reconciliations
• Analyse manufacturing variances including labour, materials, yield and waste
• Preparation of cashflow reports and forecasts

About you

• CPA or CA qualified (or nearing completion)
• 5+ years' experience in a Financial Accountant or Senior Financial Accountant role
• Experience within manufacturing, FMCG or a product-based environment
• Strong technical accounting and financial reporting skills
• Experience with inventory accounting, product costing and variance analysis
• Advanced Excel skills and experience working with ERP systems – Preferably Dynamics 365 / Business Central
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills
• High attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and continuous improvement
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective working relationships across the business
