IT Operations Support Engineer (Contract Role)

Engineering is the backbone of trading here.  We’ve laid a strong foundation, but plenty remains to be done. As an engineer, you’ll own meaningful projects - from refining systems to leading major upgrades - supported by a collaborative team that values well-designed solutions.

We’re looking for pragmatic engineers who are fast when it counts and precise when it matters. 

As a key part of our IT Operations team, you will maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize our high-performance, low-latency infrastructure. This role focuses on ensuring the resilience and security of systems located at global exchanges, running on enterprise bare-metal hardware, FPGA-accelerated components, and low-latency network architectures. You'll work directly on infrastructure where nanosecond-level latency decisions have real financial consequences.

What you’ll do: 

• Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL): Support, tune, and optimize RHEL systems running on bare-metal hardware and hypervisors for low-latency, high-performance execution.
• Network Operations & HA: Maintain highly available routing and multicast environments using BGP, OSPF, PIM, and IGMP, with hands-on experience across colocation and on-prem switching and connectivity.
• Security & Resilience: Design and implement security controls and disaster recovery procedures for mission-critical financial infrastructure, with direct input into risk and architecture decisions.
• Planning & Coordination: Lead maintenance windows and operational upgrades, coordinating across internal teams and external exchanges and colocation providers under time-sensitive conditions.
• Automation: Improve our  configuration management, observability, and operational tooling (Ansible, Zabbix, Python).
