Electrical Supervisor

Predominantly office based Electrical Supervisor position available!

We are seeking an Electrical Supervisor to join our team in a full-time, office-based position, responsible for quoting, planning and managing small electrical installation works across our commercial client base.

This role is suited to someone who has proven experience managing jobs from initial enquiry and quotation through to delivery, completion and close-out.

The position will primarily focus on commercial fit outs, refurbishments, upgrades and minor installation works, incorporating both electrical and associated data and communications infrastructure.

The Opportunity

This role is ideal for an experienced electrical professional who already understands both the technical and commercial sides of electrical contracting.

You will be comfortable preparing quotations, interpreting scopes and drawings, coordinating labour and materials, communicating with customers, monitoring job costs and taking responsibility for the successful delivery of multiple small works projects.

You will also have a good working understanding of data and communications infrastructure and be comfortable incorporating these requirements into the overall scope and delivery of commercial electrical installations.

 About the Role

Working closely with our customers, electricians, suppliers and management team, you will be responsible for managing small electrical works from start to finish.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Reviewing customer enquiries, drawings, specifications and scopes of work

• Attending site inspections and assessing project requirements

• Preparing accurate quotations and estimates for electrical installation works

• Estimating labour, materials, equipment and subcontractor requirements

• Obtaining supplier and subcontractor pricing

• Preparing clear scopes, inclusions, exclusions and commercial assumptions

• Quoting and coordinating electrical, data and communications requirements associated with commercial installations

• Planning and coordinating commercial fitouts, refurbishments, upgrades and small works

• Scheduling electricians and allocating labour to jobs

• Ordering materials and coordinating deliveries

• Liaising with customers, facility managers, suppliers and subcontractors

• Providing technical support and direction to electricians in the field

• Managing variations and additional works

• Monitoring labour, materials, costs and job profitability

• Coordinating testing, commissioning, defects and project completion

• Maintaining accurate job records within our service and job management systems

• Building strong relationships with existing customers and identifying opportunities for additional work

The role is predominantly office-based, with site attendance required for inspections, quoting, coordination and project completion as required.

About You

To be successful in this position, you will need to have the following competencies:

• WA Electrical Workers Licence

• Strong commercial electrical and communications installation experience

• Previous experience working in an office-based electrical supervisory, or management role

• Demonstrated experience preparing electrical quotations and estimates

• Demonstrated experience managing electrical jobs from quotation through to completion

• Experience with commercial fit outs, refurbishments, upgrades and small works

• Good working knowledge of data and communications systems commonly incorporated into commercial electrical installations, including structured cabling, data outlets and communications racks

• Strong understanding of labour, materials, subcontractors and project costs

• Good understanding of electrical drawings, specifications and Australian Standards

• Experience scheduling labour and coordinating multiple jobs simultaneously
