Senior Development Manager

Vinova are working with a leading energy business that is expanding its Australian development portfolio.

This is an opportunity to take operational ownership of the Australian development function and lead a multidisciplinary team across a number of projects at different stages of development.

You'll maintain a detailed understanding of the portfolio, including project status, risks, critical path and key decisions, while ensuring senior leadership has clear and timely visibility of what is happening across the business.

The role will also provide senior oversight across planning, approvals, land, community and other development workstreams, while working closely with internal and external stakeholders to keep projects progressinng.

Duties

• Manage a multidisciplinary development team
• Maintain clear oversight of project status, risks, milestones and critical path
• Translate strategic priorities into clear project plans and actions
• Oversee planning, approvals and regulatory workstreams
• Identify emerging project risks and recommend practical solutions
• Drive portfolio prioritisation and readiness for financial close
• Support senior leadership with investor, due diligence and Board requirements

Skills & experience

• Significant project development experience within the Australian energy sector
• Strong planning background with experience navigating Australian approvals processes
• Proven experience project managing early and mid stage development life cycle
• Strong commercial and strategic judgement across complex development projects
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Comfortable operating autonomously while maintaining disciplined reporting to senior leadership
