Service & Calibration Technician - Weighing & Instrumentation

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced technician with strong mechanical and calibration expertise to support servicing, calibration, assembly and installation of industrial weighing and process measurement systems across Queensland, based out of our Banyo office.

Key Responsibilities

·         Assembly and installation of industrial weighing systems including weighbridges and platform scales

·         Mechanical assembly of steel structures and industrial equipment

·         Calibration of process measurement and instrumentation devices and systems.

·         Onsite calibration and verification to NATA and NMI standards

·         Fault finding and maintenance of industrial automation and instrumentation systems

·         Commissioning of newly supplied equipment

·         Completion of digital service and calibration reports

·         Customer liaison and technical support

Skills & Experience (Essential)

·         Proven experience as an Industrial Technician, Instrumentation Technician or similar

·         Strong mechanical assembly and installation background

·         Sound understanding of calibration methods and measurement systems

·         Experience with industrial scales, weighbridges, process instrumentation or heavy industrial equipment

·         Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings

·         Strong safety and quality focus

Desirable Qualifications & Licences

·         Trade qualification in Mechanical, Electrical or Instrumentation discipline

·         NMI 6.1–6.4 Trade Servicing Licence

·         ISO 17025 (NATA) calibration experience

·         Automation or control systems experience (HMI & PLC's)

·         Forklift licence (LF) or other high-risk work licences
