About the role

This role is all about variety. One day you're across job costing for a construction client, the next you're reconciling accounts for a retail business, then helping a client who does things completely their own way. No two clients are the same, and that's the best bit of the job.

You'll be running multiple sets of books at once, so you need to be organised, quick to pick up how each client works, and sharp enough to catch the small stuff before it becomes a problem.

What You'll Be Doing

• Managing the books for a portfolio of clients across different industries

• Accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, payroll and BAS prep

• Keeping multiple sets of financials accurate and up to date

• Learning each client's systems and processes so you become someone they trust

• Handling client queries directly and confidently

• Flagging ways to improve a client's processes, not just doing the task in front of you

• Supporting the wider team where needed

What You'll Bring

• Solid bookkeeping experience, ideally across more than one client or business

• BAS Agent registration, or working towards it

• Construction industry experience, e.g. bookkeeper or office manager

• Genuine attention to detail

• Confidence using Xero

• Self-motivated

• Good at building relationships with different types of people

• Comfortable adapting to a new client's way of doing things

• A team player with a good sense of humour

What's In It for You

• $70,000 - $85,000 + Super, depending on experience
