Horticulturist - Team Leader - Rooftop Gardens

We’re a Richmond-based rooftop and containerised garden maintenance service, and we specialise in the tricky stuff, high-end gardens perched above the city where drainage, irrigation, and smart plant choices actually matter. We’re a small, lively crew, and we’re after someone ready to lead, grow, and stick around for the long haul.

What you’ll be doing

• Maintaining a portfolio of high-end rooftop and containerised gardens

• Topiary, formative pruning, and general garden maintenance

• Managing irrigation systems, including repairs

• Substrate analysis and fertilising

• Leading a small team — you’ll have one other person with you most days

• Getting stuck into genuinely interesting horticultural challenges most gardeners don’t get near

What you’ll bring

• Solid, all-round garden maintenance experience

• Experience leading a team, even a small one

• A manual driver’s licence (non-negotiable — that ute’s not automatic)

• Initiative

• Substrate analysis and fertilising

• Your own personality

Bonus points for

• Irrigation experience across current makes and models of systems

• A good understanding of drainage (especially relevant when your gardens are several storeys up)
