IT Contracts Officer

• Permanent / Full Time
• Salary: $103,766 - $117,851 gross p.a. plus 12% Super
• 35 hours per week (Monday to Friday) with the option of flexitime

About the Role

Play a key role in delivering best-practice IT procurement, contract, vendor, and licence management across the organisation. You will build and manage strategic vendor relationships, oversee procurement and contract activities, ensure compliance with relevant legislation and Council policies, and provide expert advice that supports the delivery of Council's ICT strategy and business objectives. This includes:

• Lead IT procurement, contracting and licence management activities in alignment with Council strategy and governance principles, as directed by the Chief Information Officer.
• Partner with IT and business stakeholders to set sourcing strategies, manage commercial risk, and provide authoritative advice across procurement, contracts and licensing.
• Ensure compliance with legislation, Council policy, probity, delegations and recordkeeping requirements across IT procurement, contract and licensing activities.

About You

To be successful in the position, you will have:

• Certificate IV in Procurement/Contracting and/or extensive equivalent experience in a similar role ideally with IT and technology specific procurement and contract exposure.
• Demonstrated 5+ years of experience providing procurement advice and support in procurement processes, contract management, license management or similar, ideally in a multi-functional government Organisation.
• Demonstrated experience in developing, maintaining and reviewing policies, procedures, systems and processes across technology procurement, contract management and license support.
• Demonstrated working knowledge and experience in interpreting Government Legislation as it relates to tendering, governance, record-keeping and probity functions.
• Proof of Australian residency or citizenship, or authority to work in Australia (visa)
• A current Class C Drivers Licence.

We are looking for a proactive and commercially minded professional with experience in IT procurement, vendor, contract and licence management. You will have strong stakeholder engagement skills, the ability to build effective vendor relationships and a keen eye for compliance, governance, and delivering value driven outcomes.
