A Construction Worker at Metro Asphalt Pty Ltd plays a vital role in supporting the construction projects by undertaking various tasks and ensuring the smooth execution of operations. The main responsibilities and tasks for this position include:
Assisting with the preparation of construction sites, including loading and unloading materials and equipment.
Operating hand and power tools to assist with various construction tasks, such as digging trenches, breaking up concrete, or assisting with asphalt paving.
Performing routine maintenance on construction equipment and machinery to ensure their proper functioning.
Following safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a secure work environment for all team members.
Supporting the team in completing construction projects within specified timelines and quality standards.
Working collaboratively with other team members to achieve project goals and targets.
Our Construction Workers are expected to demonstrate strong teamwork skills, physical endurance, attention to detail, and a commitment to following safety procedures. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals who are eager to gain hands-on experience in the construction industry while contributing to the success of diverse projects.
Required Qualifications
Current Victorian Drivers Licence (mandatory)
WorkSafe issued Construction Induction Card (mandatory)
Heavy Rigid/Combination – Truck Licence (desirable, highly advantageous)
Excavator Competency - (desirable, highly advantageous)
ESV Spotters ticket
