About the opportunity
Altrad are currently seeking an experienced Project / HR Administrator to join our Perth CBD team on a 12-month fixed-term contract, supporting the Karratha Gas Plant Life Extension (KLE) Project.
The KLE Project is a major long-term program focused on sustaining the technical integrity, reliability and operational performance of the Karratha Gas Plant. Delivered in a joint venture with UGL, the project supports a broad range of refurbishment, maintenance and life extension activities across one of Western Australia’s major energy facilities. With a large project workforce and multiple operational functions working together, strong administration and coordination are essential to successful project delivery.
Working Monday to Friday, 9 hours per day, this role will provide broad project and people administration support, working closely with Project Management, HR/ER, Payroll, Commercial and Site teams. You’ll play a key role in coordinating personnel information, rosters, timesheets, travel, accommodation and reporting, ensuring the project team has the accurate information and administrative support required to operate effectively.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced administrator looking to step into a broad role that combines project administration, HR support, payroll coordination and workforce administration within a major resources and energy project.
Key responsibilities
Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Project and Management teams
Support HR and personnel administration across the project workforce
Maintain personnel records, rosters and project administration systems
Coordinate flight bookings, camp accommodation and personnel movements
Collect, review and process daily personnel and equipment timesheets
Input and upload timekeeping data into SAP for payroll and cost monitoring
Assist with payroll, accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
Prepare and distribute daily, monthly and quarterly project reports
Maintain project files, registers, noticeboards and project communications
Take accurate minutes and provide administrative support for project and maintenance meetings
Liaise with HR/ER, Payroll, Commercial, Cost Control and Site teams
Assist with data entry, reporting and document management
Provide general administrative support across the project as required
Maintain a strong focus on accuracy, confidentiality, safety and customer service
About you
We’re looking for an organised, proactive and detail-focused administrator who can confidently manage competing priorities and work effectively across a range of stakeholders.
You will ideally have:
4+ years’ experience in a project administration, HR administration, site administration or similar role
Previous experience within an engineering, construction, resources, energy or contracting environment
Experience with personnel administration, rosters, timesheets or payroll processes
Strong data entry skills and a high level of accuracy
Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
Experience using SAP or a similar ERP/timekeeping system will be highly regarded
Strong organisational, multitasking and prioritisation skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
The ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment
A professional and approachable manner when dealing with employees, contractors and stakeholders
A strong commitment to safety, confidentiality and quality
