Vegetation manager / trade assistant / Chipper operator

About the role

As a Vegetation Worker / Chipper Operator, you will work alongside experienced crew members on a powerline contract. The work is outdoors and physically active, involving ground-based tree and vegetation work, operating and feeding wood chippers, branch and debris removal, site clean-up and general labouring. You will work around roadside and powerline vegetation management operations, travelling to different work sites across Sydney and NSW.

Key responsibilities

• Ground-based tree and vegetation work

• Operating and feeding wood chippers

• Branch and debris removal

• Site clean-up and general labouring

• Assisting chainsaw operators and qualified vegetation workers

• Setting up and maintaining safe work areas

• Loading and unloading tools and equipment

• Daily maintenance and checks of equipment

• Travelling to different work sites across Sydney and NSW

About you

• Current Australian driver's licence

• Construction Induction Card (White Card)

• Reliable and punctual

• Physically fit and capable of manual work

• Strong work ethic

• Willingness to learn

• Ability to follow safety procedures and instructions

• Ability to work well as part of a team

• Comfortable working in different weather conditions
