Technical Account Manager – Networking & Infrastructure

📍 Sydney | Hybrid (1–2 days onsite – Barangaroo)

Emerging IT is looking for a technically strong Technical Account Manager to take ownership of service delivery, client relationships and technical outcomes across a portfolio of high-profile client environments, including a flagship site at Barangaroo.

This role is ideal for someone with a strong networking or infrastructure background who has the technical depth to understand complex environments, work confidently with engineers and vendors, and translate technical issues into clear outcomes for the client.

You won't be expected to personally configure every device. Instead, you'll use your technical knowledge to assess issues, understand business impact, coordinate the right technical resources and drive issues through to resolution.

What you'll do

• Act as the trusted technical advisor and primary point of contact for key clients

• Own service performance, SLAs, incidents and escalations

• Work closely with network and infrastructure engineers to maintain service stability

• Assess technical issues and coordinate appropriate engineering resources

• Lead service reviews, governance meetings and operational reporting

• Understand complex networked and integrated technology environments

• Identify service improvement, infrastructure and security opportunities

• Contribute to technology roadmaps and client advisory discussions

• Support contract performance, renewals and variations

• Maintain an onsite presence at Barangaroo 1–2 days per week

What you'll bring

• Strong networking or infrastructure background, ideally within an MSP or managed services environment

• Strong understanding of routing, switching, VLANs, wireless, WAN and firewalls

• Ability to interpret network diagrams and understand how complex network environments fit together

• Experience managing technical incidents, escalations and SLA performance

• Ability to assess the impact and severity of technical issues and determine when specialist escalation is required

• Confidence communicating technical issues with engineers, vendors and senior client stakeholders

• Strong client and stakeholder management skills

• Commercial awareness across vendors, contracts or account management

Experience with Cisco, Meraki, Juniper and/or FortiGate, along with enterprise, property or critical infrastructure environments, will be highly regarded.
