Who are we looking for?

Ideally, our new RN enjoys life, has a positive disposition, loves to have a laugh and naturally looks for ways to make things work better.

You’ll also need to work to the highest professional standards, have excellent organisation and time-management skills, and maintain a laser-like focus on supporting our doctors to deliver outstanding healthcare.

This is a lead nursing role, so we are specifically looking for someone who already knows General Practice inside and out.

You’ll help lead the nursing team, take ownership of the smooth running of the treatment room, coordinate workflow, manage stock and systems, support nurse-led care and help us continually improve how we do things.

Excellent baking skills are highly regarded but remain outside the formal selection criteria.

An appreciation of the therapeutic value of making (and receiving) the perfect cup of tea at exactly the right moment will also serve you well.

What does the role involve?

Our Lead RN will:

• Work 4–5 days per week in a permanent role, with some flexibility around days and hours

• Help the Practice Manager coordinate the day-to-day workflow of the nursing team

• Support our doctors with procedures, vaccinations and clinical care

• Drive high-quality chronic disease care, care planning and health assessments

• Manage recalls, reminders, treatment-room systems, stock and clinical processes

• Contribute to infection control, cold-chain management, accreditation and compliance

• Help maintain excellent clinical standards and identify opportunities to improve how we operate

We are looking for a seasoned General Practice nurse, not someone looking to make their first move into GP nursing.

You’ll ideally bring:

• Strong experience working in Australian General Practice

• Excellent clinical judgement and attention to detail

• Strong organisation and time management

• The ability to anticipate what needs doing rather than waiting to be asked

• Confidence helping lead and support other nurses

• A strong work ethic without taking yourself too seriously
