The Opportunity

Fieldy's Heavy Equipment Services is seeking an experienced Heavy Diesel Fitter for a casual FIFO role based in Western Australia. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic and growing company in the mining industry, working on a diverse range of heavy machinery and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair on a variety of heavy diesel equipment including earth movers, haul trucks, and other mining machinery

• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues, and carry out necessary repairs to restore equipment to optimal working condition

• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment

• Maintain accurate records of work completed and parts used

• Work collaboratively with the wider maintenance team to ensure efficient operations

What We're Looking For

• Relevant trade qualifications as a Heavy Diesel Fitter or Heavy Vehicle Mechanic

• Substantial experience (minimum 5 years) repairing and maintaining heavy mobile equipment in a mining or resources setting

• Strong technical and diagnostic skills, with the ability to problem-solve complex mechanical issues

• Commitment to workplace health and safety, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks

• A flexible, adaptable approach to work and the ability to work independently or as part of a team

• Willingness to work on a FIFO roster in the Newman, WA 6753 region
