The Role
Reporting to the Coordinator Animal Services and Community Safety, this position is responsible for the investigation and enforcement of the various acts and regulations delegated to Council officers, including, Environmental Enforcement, Public Land Use Enforcement, Parking / Heavy Vehicle Enforcement and Animal Management.
Responding to complaints, such as unauthorised goods on footpath, trucks in residential areas, illegal parking, illegal dumping on public property, overgrown vegetation, barking dogs and nuisance animals, stray and roaming animals, dog attacks and dangerous/menacing dog compliance..
About You
You will have proven conflict resolution, mediation, facilitation, and negotiation skills, and able to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders. You will have experience in developing education campaigns in relation to Companion Animals, and ability to provide professional and technical advice, guidance and assistance in regulatory enforcement. You will have proven ability to work as part of a team and unsupervised, using initiative, managing competing interests, and prioritised workload.
