This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting and enhancing the technology platforms that underpin our operations nationwide. You'll work across cloud and on-premises environments, lead infrastructure initiatives, support critical systems, and contribute to the delivery of secure, scalable, and high-performing technology solutions.

What you will be doing:

As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will provide technical expertise across a diverse technology environment spanning Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, endpoint management, identity services, virtualisation, storage, networking, and security.

You'll be involved in delivering infrastructure projects, supporting major incidents, mentoring team members, and helping drive continuous improvement across our technology platforms. 

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise across hybrid infrastructure platforms, including compute, storage, virtualisation, identity, endpoint management, monitoring, and disaster recovery.
• Plan and execute cloud, Microsoft 365, and workload migrations to Microsoft Azure.
• Provide Level 3 support for complex incidents, major outages, and infrastructure-related issues.
• Maintain secure, reliable, and high-performing cloud and on-premises environments.
• Deliver infrastructure projects, upgrades, migrations, and platform modernisation initiatives.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, onsite teams, vendors, and technology partners.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership across the IT function.
  Contribute to continuous improvement, documentation, and operational excellence.
• Travel to sites as required.

About You

You are a proactive and solutions-focused infrastructure professional with strong technical expertise and a passion for delivering exceptional outcomes. You thrive in a collaborative environment while also being comfortable working autonomously and managing competing priorities.

Essential Skills, Experience & Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience working with Microsoft Azure and hybrid cloud environments.
• Strong experience supporting Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, and Windows Server platforms.
• Experience delivering infrastructure projects including migrations, upgrades, and cloud transformation initiatives.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune, Windows Autopilot, and endpoint management solutions.
• Strong knowledge of Entra ID, including Conditional Access, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and Single Sign-On (SSO).
• Experience integrating and supporting both cloud-based and on-premises technologies.
• Sound knowledge of infrastructure, networking, security, and operational best practices.
• Experience using ITSM and collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.

Desirable

• AWS experience.
• Linux administration experience.
• Microsoft, Azure, or AWS certifications.
• Understanding of cybersecurity principles and frameworks, including the Essential Eight.
• Willingness to travel occasionally as required.

Mandatory Requirements

• Current National Police Check or Willing to obtain
• Australian Citizenship, Permanent Residency or valid Australian work rights.
