What’s the role?

The Senior Manager, Financial Crime is responsible for leading the assessment, investigation, decisioning and ongoing management of high-risk customers across Westpac Pacific. The role provides subject matter expertise and leadership for complex Enhanced Customer Due Diligence (ECDD) matters, customer risk assessments, enhanced monitoring, and customer exit recommendations across PNG and Fiji.

As a key leader within the Financial Crime team, the position also drives financial crime capability, training and risk culture initiatives, develops strong stakeholder partnerships across the Pacific business, and leads a high-performing team focused on protecting the bank, its customers and the communities in which it operates.

This is a full time role based in Adelaide with hybrid working.

What do I need?

• Significant experience in AML/CTF, Financial Crime, Compliance, Risk, Investigations or related financial services disciplines
• Demonstrated experience managing high-risk customers, Enhanced Customer Due Diligence (ECDD) processes and complex financial crime investigations
• Strong understanding of AML/CTF legislation, regulatory obligations and industry best practice
• Experience preparing risk assessments, investigation reports and recommendations for senior stakeholders.
• Proven ability to lead teams, manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes in a risk-focused environment
