Allied Health Assistant - Speech Pathology Students

This is a great orle for those in their final-year of Speech Pathology to apply for our Allied Health Academy. Gain the experience supporting and shadowing experienced clinicians, with a pathway into our 360 Go Graduate Program after graduation.

NATIONAL 360’S ALLIED HEALTH ACADEMY
The Allied Health Academy is part of our Graduate Pathway initiative, designed to support students in their final year of study through paid employment alongside their university commitments.

As part of the Allied Health Academy, you’ll join a local National 360 team to gain meaningful exposure to real therapy environments within the NDIS and community sectors.

In this casual role, working days and hours will be agreed upon with your Team Leader based on the local team’s needs and your placement commitments. Shifts may be provided on a weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis and will vary throughout the year.

While no two days will look the same, your experience may include:

• Shadowing therapy sessions with experienced clinicians to observe assessments, interventions, and client interactions.
• Assisting with therapy preparation, including resource development (e.g., laminating, printing, visual supports).
• Supporting clinicians during and after sessions, such as note taking and coordinating follow-up activities.
• Drafting or contributing to case notes, reports or clinical documentation under supervision.
• Assisting with research and evidence gathering to support report writing, therapy planning, and evidence-based practice.
• Providing administrative and organisational support to help the local team operate more efficiently.
• Participating in team meetings, supervision and case discussions, gaining insight into collaborative practice and clinical decision-making.
• Completing self-directed learning modules via National 360’s Learning Management System.

ABOUT YOU

• Graduating from tertiary studies soon in Speech Pathology and in your final year of studies.
• Interested in pursuing a career in community-based allied health upon graduation.
• Able to work from our Hobart office.
• Comfortable working within a supportive, close-knit team environment.
• Motivated by learning, feedback, and ongoing professional development.
• Able to travel independently for community-based therapy sessions.

Candidates will need to hold or be willing to obtain an NDISWC and WWCC and have access to their own vehicle with a current driver’s licence.
