About the role
All Lift Forklifts & Access Equipment is a successful, family-owned equipment rental and sales business with branches across Australia. Due to continued growth and we are expanding our leadership team and are now seeking an experienced Service Manager to lead our Brisbane service operation.
This is a senior, hands-on leadership role for someone who knows how to build strong teams, run a tight operation, and deliver exceptional service outcomes.
The RoleReporting to the Branch Manager, you will be responsible for the overall performance of the service department, including fleet availability, workshop and field service operations, customer experience, and commercial outcomes.
Your mission is simple (but not easy): build a high-performing service team, keep the fleet moving, and grow a profitable, well-run service operation.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead, develop and manage a team of technicians, service controllers and support staff
Drive service performance, efficiency, utilisation and customer satisfaction
Ensure fleet availability through effective scheduling, maintenance and repair planning
Own service KPIs including productivity, turnaround times, quality, and profitability
Implement and maintain strong processes, systems and controls
Manage costs, labour efficiency and parts usage
Build strong relationships with key customers and internal stakeholders
Ensure safety, compliance and quality standards are always met
Continuously improve the service operation as the business scales
You are a confident, commercially-minded Service Manager who knows how to run a service department properly, not just keep it ticking over.
You will ideally have:
Proven experience leading a service, workshop or fleet maintenance operation
Strong people leadership skills and the ability to build high-performing teams
Solid understanding of service department KPIs, workflow management and cost control
Excellent communication skills.
A strong customer service mindset with a practical, no-nonsense approach
A current driver’s licence
Highly regarded but not essential:
Experience in forklifts, access equipment, heavy vehicles, plant or similar industries
Automotive or mechanical trade qualification
Senior leadership role in a growing national business
Real autonomy to shape and improve the operation
Strong support from an experienced leadership team
Competitive salary package: $125,000 – $145,000 + Super +bonus and company vehicle
