The Opportunity
Due to company growth and newly awarded projects, we are seeking Control/SCADA Engineer to join our LEC Division. The applicant should have experience with Siemens and Schneider PLC programming, Schneider GeoSCADA development, and onsite commissioning across Western Australia.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, program, and commission Control Systems, PLCs (Siemens, Schneider), and Schneider GeoSCADA systems for water infrastructure projects.
Prepare SCADA designs, Profibus, ProfiNet, Communications Network (wired/wireless), and Radio/Satellite telecoms designs, including desktop surveys and propagation testing.
Conduct Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), and onsite commissioning across Western Australia, ensuring compliance with Australian and international standards.
Program and configure HMIs (Schneider GeoSCADA, Citect), RTUs (Schneider, Siemens), and telecommunications equipment (Fibre, ADSL, Cellular, IP, Radio Satellite, NBN).
Perform engineering studies, feasibility analyses, and technical audits to optimize control/SCADA systems.
Collaborate with internal teams, external stakeholders, and consultants to deliver projects on time and within budget.
Produce high-quality technical reports, operation manuals, and handover documentation.
What We’re Looking For
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Control Systems Engineering or equivalent.
Training / Tickets : Water Corporation HSE Inductions, Construction Card (blue/white card)
Experience: Control/SCADA Systems, with experience in Siemens and Schneider PLC programming and Schneider GeoSCADA development on Water infrastructure assets i.e. Wastewater Pump Station, Borefields, Booster Pump Station, Transfer Pump Stations, Tank sites, PRV sites, Water and Wastewater Treatment Plants.
Technical Skills:
Proven experience in industrial automation and SCADA systems (GeoSCADA, Citect).
Proven experience with PLCs (Siemens, Schneider, GE, ABB, Koyo), HMI, and telecommunications configuration (Fibre, ADSL, Cellular, IP, Radio Satellite, NBN).
Proven ability to perform onsite commissioning and testing across Western Australia.
Strong knowledge of statutory requirements, regulations, and national standards for water infrastructure, Water Corporation DS40 suite of standards
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (including Microsoft Project) and technical computing applications.

Licence: Valid C Class Driver’s Licence.
