Assistant Store Manager

We are looking for an experienced retail salesperson or emerging retail leader to join our Currumbin team as Assistant Store Manager.
This is a hands-on role where you will work closely with the Store Manager to drive sales, coach the team and keep the store running smoothly.
You will still spend plenty of time on the showroom floor helping customers, selling products and leading by example. You will also step up to lead the store when the Store Manager is away.
You do not need to be a 12V expert. Experience in 4WD, automotive, camping, caravan, outdoor or technical products is highly regarded, but we have training and product resources in place to help you build your knowledge.

Support the Store Manager to achieve store sales, customer service and operational targetsLead from the floor, actively selling and helping customers find the right products and solutionsCoach, motivate and support the sales team to improve performance and product knowledgeTake responsibility for the store and team when the Store Manager is not presentHelp build a positive, energetic and accountable team cultureSupport onboarding and training of new team membersAssist with rostering, stock control, merchandising, banking and general store administrationMaintain high standards of store presentation, merchandising and customer experienceSupport promotional events, campaigns and in-store activationsAssist with customer enquiries, warranty matters and escalationsBuild your knowledge across our 12V, lithium, solar, camping, 4WD and off-grid product ranges
About you
You will be a great fit if you:Have solid experience in retail sales, trade counter sales, automotive, parts/accessories or technical product salesHave some experience leading, supervising, coaching or supporting a retail teamAre confident stepping up and taking responsibility when the Store Manager is awayEnjoy selling and are motivated by achieving sales and customer service targetsAre confident starting conversations with customers and recommending the right productsCan explain technical products in a simple, practical wayAre comfortable helping with stock, merchandising, administration and day-to-day store operationsAre reliable, energetic and willing to get involved wherever neededCan work a retail roster including weekendsPrevious experience as an Assistant Store Manager, Supervisor, Team Leader, Senior Salesperson, Keyholder or similar would be highly regarded.

Experience in 4WD, automotive parts/accessories, camping, caravan/RV, battery, auto electrical, marine, tools or technical retailKnowledge of 12V systems, lithium batteries, solar, DC-DC chargers, inverters or off-grid powerA genuine interest in 4WDing, camping, caravanning, touring or the outdoors
