EEN or RN for Occupational Medicine Clinic

IMMEX is a specialised occupational medical practice which provides treatment and management of injured workers, pre-employment medical assessments, health surveillance, vaccination programs and health and wellbeing services.

We are seeking an enthusiastic nurse with experience in general or occupational medicine to assist with pre-employment medicals, injury treatment and other medical assessments at our Waterloo Clinic.

Our clinic hours are Monday to Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm. No Shift or weekend work

The successful candidate:

• Must be able to work in this country without restriction

• Must have a current (Medication Endorsed) registration with AHPRA

• Must be a minimum of Enrolled nurse level

• Must have a current CPR certificate

• Certificates in Drug & Alcohol collection and Venipuncture, are desirable

• Experience in Spirometry, Audiometry and ECG would be an asset

This position will be required to perform the following clinical and administrative duties:

• Process pre-employment forms and review general health questionnaires.

• Conduct medical assessments including height, weight, visual testing, urinalysis.

• Conduct ECG's, spirometry, audiometry, alcohol breathalyser testing, urine drug testing and pathology collection.

• Triage and assist in the treatment of injured workers

• Administer medications and vaccines under the instruction of a Medical Practitioner

• Liaise with treating doctors and physiotherapists 

• Attend to wound dressings.

• Assist with minor procedures.

• Clean, disinfect and sterilise medical instruments.

• Assist with off-site client health visits or health surveillance projects

• Perform any other related nursing duties

• Data entry in clinical software

• Perform basic admin duties such as responding to client enquiries, making appointments, scanning medical correspondence.

• Manage clinical inventory

• Intermediate computer literacy
