Health Safety Environment Australia (HSE Australia) is a national provider of specialist health and safety consulting services throughout mining, government, education and industry. Our team of experienced specialists work together to deliver innovative solutions that make workplaces healthier and safer.
Dust, noise, chemicals, vibration, across workplaces can be full of hazards you can’t always see. It is practical, hands-on work with real impact and a career where demand is growing fast.

You will however, need to be either a recent Science graduate or a Science student graduating at the end of 2026.
Your week could see you:
Monitoring dust, noise, chemicals and vibration across a diverse range of sites — from mining, construction and manufacturing to government and defence.
Learning about indoor air quality and mould assessment.
Setting up sampling equipment and collecting exposure data to help identify and assess workplace health risks.
Analysing exposure results and helping turn the data into clear, practical recommendations and client reporting.
Travelling to various clients at this stage anywhere in Australia..
What is in it for you:
A clear career path, supported by structured one-on-one mentoring from experienced Occupational Hygienists.
Paid study leave and full support and professional development for application/membership to the Australian Institute of Occupational Hygiene.
Exposure to major projects across mining, defence, construction, manufacturing and government with one of South Australia’s leading Occupational Hygiene consultancies.
A supportive, professional team of industry experts and flexible work arrangements.
Who we are looking for:
A recent (or graduating, end of 2026) Bachelor of Science Graduate ideally chemistry or microbiology who is:
Comfortable and confident working independently across a range of client sites, with strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with clients and colleagues.
Detail-oriented, organised and commercially astute, with strong time-management skills and a commitment to delivering work on time and to a high standard.
Reliable, with a strong work ethic and customer orientation.
Open to doing further study/training specifically in indoor air quality and mould testing.
Bonus points if you already have AIOH membership or eligibility or have experience with industrial monitoring equipment.
So, if you are a motivated graduate (or about to graduate) are passionate about understanding and managing workplace health risks, can apply scientific thinking to real world workplace challenges and want to develop the technical and consulting skills needed for a career in occupational hygiene, this could be the opportunity for you!
