The Role
As a Field Technician at Drill Intelligence, you’ll be hands-on in the field, working closely with drilling contractors and geology teams to ensure seamless operations. You’ll play a key role in deploying, maintaining and optimising our advanced steering tools while driving continuous improvement in drilling performance.
Primary Responsibilities
Oversee onsite operations for Aziwell directional drilling tools
Work closely with drilling contractors to ensure successful directional drilling programs
Set up, deploy and maintain steerable coring and directional motors
Identify and implement drilling optimisation initiatives
Manage onsite equipment and supplies to maintain uninterrupted service
Act as the primary client contact, fostering strong relationships
Ensure strict compliance with safety policies and promote a culture of continuous improvement
FIFO roster: 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off - Temporary roster changes might be required following operational requirements
What we're looking for
Strong technical skills and mechanical aptitude
Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve in field environments
Drilling experience is desirable
Familiarity with drilling software (e.g. Compass) is desirable
Exceptional attention to detail and ability to prioritise workload
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work independently and as part of a high-performing team
Minimum requirements:
Australian unlimited working rights
WA Manual Driver's License with no restrictions
Senior First Aid Certificate (issued within 1 year)
National Police Clearance (issued within the last 3 months)
