Registered Nurse - Residential Aged Care

At Wesley Mission Queensland (WMQ), our Residential Aged Care team is committed to providing high-quality, person-centred care in a supportive and values-driven environment. We are currently seeking Registered Nurses to join our team at our Chermside residential aged care facility, with opportunities available across Morning, Afternoon and Night shifts.

As a Registered Nurse, you will demonstrate excellent clinical capability, strong leadership skills, and a genuine passion for delivering exceptional care. You will be supported with ongoing professional development and opportunities for growth within our services.

You Will:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments, care planning, and direct nursing care using a biopsychosocial model to optimise residents’ independence

• Provide leadership, coaching, and supervision to Carers, Assistants in Nursing, and Enrolled Nurses, acting as a role model for professional practice

• Ensure compliance with Workplace Health and Safety, infection control, and safe work practices

• Provide accurate written and verbal reports on residents’ social, physical, and emotional wellbeing to Clinical Nurses and Assistant Managers

• Collaborate with the clinical leadership team to achieve quality outcomes for residents

What We’re Looking For:

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a commitment to best-practice care

• Demonstrated clinical nursing proficiency and understanding of contemporary nursing theory and care documentation models

• Generalist Registered Nursing experience, with aged care experience highly desirable

• Ability to quickly develop a sound understanding of aged care legislation and standards and apply them in daily practice.

Essential Requirements:

• Certificate III Individual Support or equivalent

• Paid NDIS Worker Screening Clearance

• Evidence of COVID-19 vaccination
