Business Manager

Scarboro Toyota is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Finance & Insurance Business Manager to join our dealership.

We are open to applicants seeking either a full-time or part-time position, with the working arrangement to be discussed with the successful candidate.

Reporting to the Finance and Insurance Manager, you will work closely with our sales team and customers to provide professional finance and insurance solutions. You will help customers navigate the purchasing process while supporting vehicle sales, maintaining accurate documentation and ensuring all activities meet relevant legislative and compliance requirements.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Meeting with retail customers to discuss their finance and insurance requirements

• Presenting approved finance, insurance, warranty and aftermarket products

• Preparing and submitting finance applications for approval

• Clearly explaining available products, terms and conditions to customers

• Assisting Sales Consultants with finance discussions while protecting the vehicle sale

• Working with the Sales Manager to support strong commercial outcomes

• Ensuring confirmed buyers are appropriately introduced to the Finance and Insurance Department

• Maintaining an accurate and up-to-date daily sales log

• Checking that all customer paperwork and supporting documentation is complete and accurate

• Managing the receipting and collection of monies from direct customers

• Maintaining productive relationships with finance and insurance providers

• Providing continuity of service across the Finance and Insurance Department

• Complying with all relevant legislation, regulations, industry codes and dealership procedures

• Representing Scarboro Toyota professionally within the dealership and wider community

To be successful in this position, you will demonstrate:

• A sound understanding of the retail automotive industry

• Current relevant finance and insurance accreditations

• A strong understanding of financial services legislation and compliance requirements

• Excellent customer service, interpersonal and selling skills

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• High attention to detail when preparing and checking documentation

• Well-developed organizational and time-management skills

• Confidence using Microsoft Office and dealership systems

• A professional presentation and customer-focused approach

• The motivation to contribute to the success of the wider dealership

Previous experience in an automotive dealership finance and insurance role will be highly regarded. Experience supporting or leading a small team would also be beneficial.
