What this job involves:
As a Facilities Manager at JLL, you'll take full ownership of managing and maintaining a diverse portfolio of owned properties and leased premises across the NSW/ACT region. This role places you at the heart of day-to-day operations, ensuring exceptional service delivery for our client while maintaining the highest standards of compliance and performance. At JLL, we are collectively shaping a brighter way — for our clients, ourselves and our fellow employees, and you'll embody this through your proactive approach to facilities management. You'll oversee site budgets, accounting and finance functions, maintenance and operations, contract services, and procurement of materials, equipment, and supplies. Your portfolio will span approximately 90 retail sites and 2 major commercial/corporate properties, including prestigious corporate head offices. Based at the client's corporate office at Darling Park, Sydney, you'll be the trusted partner who ensures every facility operates seamlessly, every day. What your day-to-day will look like:
Lead and inspire your facilities team, fostering a collaborative environment where everyone is empowered to deliver their best workPartner closely with clients and stakeholders, building trusted relationships and ensuring their needs are met with professionalism and careOversee comprehensive site budgets, financial reporting, and analysis to ensure cost-effective operations and budget complianceManage vendor relationships and procurement processes, ensuring quality service delivery and value for money across all contracted servicesConduct regular site inspections across retail and commercial properties, identifying opportunities for improvement and ensuring operational excellenceEnsure strict compliance with occupational health and safety requirements, implementing proactive risk management strategies to protect all building occupantsOversee critical building systems including CRAC units, chiller systems, fire protection, mechanical and electrical systems, and BMS platformsManage occupancy services and helpdesk operations, ensuring responsive and efficient support for all facility usersMonitor and interpret commercial contracts, ensuring all parties meet their obligations and service levels are maintained
Required qualifications:
Proven experience in facilities management, property management, or a related field with a track record of delivering best practice outcomesDemonstrated people management skills with the ability to inspire, develop, and lead high-performing teamsExperience working in corporate environments, including direct dealings with executive-level stakeholdersStrong knowledge of local occupational health and safety requirements and compliance frameworksUnderstanding of critical facilities operations and infrastructure managementTechnical knowledge of building systems including CRAC, chillers, fire protection, mechanical and electrical systems, and BMS platformsProven ability to understand, interpret, and manage commercial contracts effectivelyStrong budget management and financial analysis capabilitiesCurrent and valid driver's license with willingness to travel, including interstate when required
Preferred qualifications:
Tertiary qualification in facilities management, property management, engineering, or related disciplineExperience managing mixed-use portfolios including both retail and commercial propertiesDemonstrated experience managing large-scale corporate head office environmentsVendor management experience for specialized technical servicesCertification in facilities management (e.g., FMA, IFMA) or project managementAdvanced proficiency in CAFM (Computer-Aided Facilities Management) systems and financial management software
