About the role
About the role
You'll provide evidence-based, person-centred speech pathology services to NDIS participants and other community clients across the lifespan, with a strong focus on functional communication, social participation, and quality of life. You'll work closely with participants, families, support workers, and other allied health professionals to deliver practical, goal-focused interventions in homes, clinics, schools, and community settings.
Key responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive speech, language, communication, and swallowing assessments.
Develop and implement individualised therapy plans aligned with participant goals and NDIS plans.
Work collaboratively with families, support coordinators, support workers, and other clinicians.
Provide training, coaching, and practical strategies to build capacity in the participant's support network.
Complete clear, timely progress notes, reports, and NDIS documentation.
Adhere to professional, ethical, and organisational standards and policies.
Provide therapy in clinic, home, school, telehealth, and community environments.
Contribute to a positive, respectful, and trauma-informed service culture.
About you
Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology.
Current membership or eligibility for membership with Speech Pathology Australia.
Current AHPRA registration is required at the time of commencement.
Experience or strong interest disability, or community-based practice.
New graduates are welcome to apply for this position.
Sound clinical reasoning and commitment to evidence-based practice.
Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with participants and families.
Person-centred, strengths-based, and culturally responsive practice.
Willingness to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment.
Commitment to ongoing learning, reflective practice, and quality improvement.
