Medical Receptionist

About the Position

Eastern Shore Doctors is looking for a Medical Receptionist to join a great and supportive team on a Permanent Part Time basis (3 days per week) at our Bellerive and Hobart Skin Cancer Clinic.

We are looking for someone who has excellent communication skills, is able to multitask, and is comfortable working in a busy environment.

In this role you will:

• Deliver exceptional patient service at all times

• Participate in practice meetings and contribute ideas for improvement 

• Efficiently manage patient data, appointments and follow procedures

• Provide a seamless service to patients whilst ensuring clinic operations, and Doctor workload is effectively managed at all times

• Process patients billings/receipts

• Assist Doctors with day to day administrative support and take an active part in working closely with other team members to manage daily tasks

• Function in a highly organised and time-efficient manner at all times

• Availability on Mondays and Fridays, with good availability across the week

• Ability to work under pressure, multi-task, and prioritise

• Ability to work across multiple sites

• Excellent communication skills – written and verbal

• High level of computer literacy

• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work in a diverse team and independently

• High-level attention to detail

• Previous Medical Reception experience would be an advantage, however not essential

• Enthusiasm, willingness, and ability to learn and retain information
