$71,971.55 per annum to $73,543.67 per annum

About The Role:

Whitsunday Regional Council is seeking applications for a Cleaning Officer to join the Open Spaces and Cemeteries team in Bowen.  This hands-on role is responsible for maintaining Council's public amenities and facilities to a high standard of cleanliness, presentation and functionality, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for residents and visitors.

Your Impact:

• Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of Council-operated public amenities and facilities.
• Contribute to a positive experience for residents and visitors through quality service delivery.
• Assist in ensuring public facilities remain safe, functional and well maintained.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Cleaning public amenities and facilities in accordance with approved cleaning schedules.
• Undertaking minor maintenance and repair work, including graffiti removal and replacement of facility fittings.
• Carrying out general labouring duties, including litter control and small plant operation.
• Reporting repairs, faults and maintenance requirements.
• Completing daily records, timesheets and equipment checks.
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the cleaning program.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Current C Class Driver Licence.
• Commercial cleaning experience.
• The physical capability to undertake the manual requirements of the role.
• A strong commitment to safety, teamwork and customer service. ???????
